Evaluating the impact of Incredible Edible local food activities in Todmorden

The Incredible Edible model of using local food to help communities rethink their lifestyles has been applied in Todmorden,UK, a town of 15k people for the last seven and a half years. Creating edible landscapes, passing on skills and supporting local food businesses not with the help of existing democratic or private structures, but by volunteers living within the town. We wish to evaluate its economic, social and environmental impact in order to help challenge the way we currently apply policy and fiscal tools and help living within our means become the norm not the exception.
